We are happy to announce that all members’ pensions will be increased again on January 1, 2023. The Board decided this at the Board meeting of December 9, 2022.

What is the impact of the decision?

• Employees’ accrued pensions will be indexed by 4.53% as of January 1.
• The payable pensions and accrued former employees’ pensions will be indexed by 10.73% as of January 1.

This decision was based on the positive development of SPF’s financial position and the new possibilities offered by legislation. We still have to be careful with the decision. The financial position on 31 December is ultimately decisive. That is why we will assess at the end of 2022 whether the financial position is still sufficient.

SPF aims to increase pensions every year and allow them to grow in line with price increase for pensioners and former employees, and in line with wage increases for employees. The Board assessed whether SPF meets the conditions required by the law in this regard. During this process, the Board carefully balanced the interests of all members.
