Pensions at SPF do not need to be reduced in 2021.
The need to reduce pensions at a number of pension funds in the Netherlands is again a topical theme. As a reassurance, we would like to inform you of the following about our pension fund.
Whether we should reduce or can increase pensions in 2021 is determined by our financial situation at the end of December 2020. This is expressed in the funding level.
It is not yet known exactly how high our funding level at the end of December is. We won't know until later on in January. What we do know is that the funding level is sufficient enough that we do not have to reduce pensions.
