1. Do I have the option of transferring my pension with a previous employer to my new employer (value transfer)?
Small pension
If you have a small pension (between €2 and €632.63 gross per year) with your previous employer, you do not have any choice: your pension is automatically transferred to SPF.
Larger pension
If your pension with your previous employer is higher than €632.63 gross per year, you have the option of keeping your pension with your previous employer or to have it transferred to SPF.
2. How do I request a value transfer?
You can request Pensioenfonds SPF to initiate a value transfer on your behalf by completing and sending us the Value Transfer form.
3. Where can I find the value transfer form?
Below you will find the value transfer from SPF:
For more information please visit the SPF website:
4. How long does it take to process a value transfer?
The entire process takes up to about 6-7 months.
5. In which situations can I not (yet) effect a value transfer?
In some situations it is temporarily not possible to transfer your accrued pension to SPF. For example, when your previous pension fund has already transitioned to the new pension scheme. In that case you cannot transfer it until we have also transitioned to the new pension scheme.
6. By what percentage will SPF increase the starting capital in my pension account?
This percentage depends on the actual funding level as at 1 January 2027 (the transition funding level). The approximate increase SPF is able to provide is set out in the table below. Note: This still requires approval from DNB (the Netherlands central bank). Once the definitive 1 January 2027 SPF figures have been determined, we can calculate the final percentages.

7. Where can I find the current SPF funding level?
The funding level and the policy funding level are published on our website around the 10th working day of each month under the header Funding level, returns and other financial figures.
8. Why do I need to request a value transfer as soon as possible?
This is necessary if you decide to transfer your pension to SPF because of the transition bonus. It can take up to seven months before your request is processed. If you decide to transfer your pension to SPF, you must submit your request on time. That way you can be sure that everything will be processed on time. While you can still submit a request after 1 May 2026, the chance that things will be arranged on time drops the longer you wait.
