Would you like to transfer pension from another pension fund to SPF? Submit your request no later than 30 September 2026. After this date, SPF will no longer accept new value transfer requests until after the transition to the new pension system.
However, please note that we can no longer guarantee that your request for a value transfer can be processed in time. The sooner you submit your request, the greater your chances of success.
A quick reminder
We previously explained that the pension fund your pension is transferred to can make a difference. You can read about this or watch the video again below.

If you submit your application before 1 October 2026, SPF will still process it. However, it may not always be possible to complete the process before 1 January 2027. A value transfer can take several months – sometimes as long as 6 to 7 months. If the transfer cannot be completed in time, it will resume once both pension funds have transitioned to the new pension system.
Are you considering transferring your pension benefits to SPF, but aren't quite sure how it works? Below, you'll find a recap of the most important information. You can also watch the video again.
1. Why can't I carry out a value transfer after 1 October 2026?
SPF will be switching to the new pension scheme on 1 January 2027. To ensure we are fully prepared for this transition, we will temporarily stop accepting new requests for value transfers from 1 October 2026. The entire process takes up to about 6-7 months.
6. In which situations can I not (yet) effect a value transfer?
In some situations it is temporarily not possible to transfer your accrued pension to SPF. For example, when your previous pension fund has already transitioned to the new pension scheme. In that case you cannot transfer it until we have also transitioned to the new pension scheme.
7. By what percentage will SPF increase the starting capital in my pension account?
This percentage depends on the actual funding level as at 1 January 2027 (the transition funding level). The approximate increase SPF is able to provide is set out in the table below. Note: This still requires approval from DNB (the Netherlands central bank). Once the definitive 1 January 2027 SPF figures have been determined, we can calculate the final percentages.

8. Where can I find the current SPF funding level?
The funding level and the policy funding level are published on our website around the 10th working day of each month under the header Funding level, returns and other financial figures.
9. Why do I need to request a value transfer as soon as possible?
This is necessary if you decide to transfer your pension to SPF because of the transition bonus. It can take up to seven months before your request is processed. If you decide to transfer your pension to SPF, you must submit your request on time. That way you can be sure that everything will be processed on time. The chance that things will be arranged on time drops the longer you wait.
